From Trebor Banstetter over at the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram’s SkyTalk blog today:
And, if that isn’t enough to convince you that the pilots over at AMR are in a festive mood, check out the American Airlines’ Dancing Elf Executives. Okay, so you too can go to the OfficeMax site and make your own version, but I have to admit, this is pretty funny to crank up.
Here’s just a brief snapshot of what you’re missing.
I think both of these stunts are pretty tacky and I’m glad I’m not associated with this pilot group. Unfortunately, this kind of juvenile behavior smears the whole profession.

Actually it is two separate and distinct pilot groups represented by different unions.
Yes, notice I said “AMR” pilots. That includes those at American Eagle, who are represented by ALPA, and those at American, who are represented by APA.
Another reader also noted that Trebor made a boo-boo in his original post. That is not a jet. It’s a Saab.
Surprised some of you flyboys had not caught that one yet!
Oh, and by the way. I’ve heard from folks at three other airlines who have all either been in or seen OfficeMax produced videos of their own airline management members.
The servers over at OfficeMax must be putting in some overtime.
Actually, I still think the idea is funny. No matter whose head you put on those animations — once you crank up the music it just makes you laugh. Period.
